Tax-deductible financial support
The Birmingham History Center has temporarily suspended its museum membership program due to the October
2013 move from the Young & Vann Building. Offices reopened at the Alabama Theatre property in November
2013, and moved again in November 2014 to the Pythian Building, 310 18th Street North, Ste. 401, Birmingham,
AL 35203.
However, we still need your support -- for collections, historic research, programs and events -- as begin the
next phase of our development.
Whatever amount you decide to donate, the gift is tax deductible.

Major support: The Birmingham History Center opened April 29, 2010, after a fundraising
campaign in 2008 collected nearly $300,000 for initial exhibits and a move to the historic Young & Vann
building in downtown Birmingham. The museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit sustained by corporate and private grants
and tax-deductible contributions from individuals. The History Center's main funding comes from a generous
10-year, $750,000 grant from the Thomas Jernigan Foundation in memory of Birmingham entrepreneur Thomas E.
Jernigan, Sr. The grant is set to expire in 2017.
